Recovery from hardware failure

Featured Replies

Hi. I had two drives drop off the array this week after a kernel panic, and it appears that either A) my SATA controller fried, or B) the PCIe bus on my motherboard went chips-up.

Option A is easy, and I have a new SATA controller inbound to test.

Option B is my concern. If I need to replace motherboard and processor to get a working SATA controller back, how much will Unraid freak out when it's restarted and discovers it's running on completely different hardware?

Thanks!

It won't freak out.
