[SOLVED] User Share and Disk Share Problems (Active Directory)

Featured Replies

I am very new to unRAID but I am having a few problems.  I have my drives online and the array built.  I am joined to my domain using AD permissions and I have the following:

1. my user shares show up in the //TOWER folder but they are not accessible.

2. two of my disks are not accessible disk1 and disk2

I can not figure out this problem for the life of me any help would be much appreciated. Please bear in mind I am new and may need steps spelled out a little more then usual.  My network is working correctly.  EST001 pings to 192.168.2.1 this also happens when you use the direct 192.168.2.1 with no DNS or WINS.

well so far I have taken out 3 hard drives and only kept the WD20EARS.  I have completely reinstalled unRAID.  I have run initconfig and done a new parity check and now I wait.

After the parity check with the security turned to simple the array is working good.  I now need to start putting in more settings and see if it will hold.  I don't want to leave this thread hanging in case someone else has a similar problem.

I figured out the problem.  Basically you need to set up everything before starting the array for the first time.  Please see my post for a detailed explanation of what I am talking about:

So what do you do if you already have 12TB of data and want to switch to active directory?
