Unraid slow reads on picture files

Hello,

BLUF:  Uploading 2-3k photos to Unraid from computer speed maxes out NIC. Transfer photos from unraid to computer SSD for editing is slow 10-15 mb and folder takes long time to load previews. All other files are fine.

I am new to Unraid and so far I am loving it for my needs. I only have one issue that has come up recently. My server build is an ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Z170 PRO GAMING, I5 6400, 8gb mem, 4- 8TB Seagate barracuda 1 for parity, 500gb NVME drive for cache.  I am a videographer and my wife is a photographer.  So we are usually uploading 2000-3000 photos at a time. I can max out our 1gig Nic writing to the array. However, it's when I want to go back through the pictures at a later date is when I run into the problems. I will open a folder that contains the days shoot and it will take forever to load the pictures and then if I want to copy them to my local computer for editing it takes even longer. I am getting maybe 10-15mb transfer speeds from unraid to my computer. Like I say from my computer to unraid I max the NIC out. This only happens with pictures as my video files transfer just fine either way. I guessing its because of the amount of files is searching and the small file sizes?  I have tried adjusting packet size and removed any possible network issue. Any help to fine tune my settings would be awesome.  Thanks for the help
