mbell420
Usb flash failed without a backup. I assigned everything as it was and said parity is valid. Data didn't come up. Did I just lose my data? Quote Link to comment
John_M
It's impossible to know without your diagnostics. Go to Tools -> Diagnostics and attach the zip file to your next post. Quote Link to comment
mbell420
I shut it down as soon as it didn't come up with my data. Should I restart in safe mode or anything to get to diagnostics? Can I get there without starting the array? From the GUI it just looks like a new server since it's a new flash drive. All the hard drives say completely empty. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
If you mean data disks mounted but they are empty it wasn't just a flash drive problem, but you can start the array and grab diags, it won't cause any more damage. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Couple of more questions: When you say the USB failed do you mean it failed physically as it was unreadable or it was readable but it was missing files or empty? Did you have any way of accessing the server remotely and/or were forwarding any ports to the server? Or using DMZ? Quote Link to comment
mbell420
I woke up and server was down. I tried to restart and got "nothing to boot" error. Found the usb with no power complete dead. Created new usb and recovered my key and started the array with all the disks in the right spots, and all the disks were empty. Will get the diags up here later today. I did have ports forwarded before the crash. Quote Link to comment

mbell420
I don't remember why for all but one is a Minecraft server Quote Link to comment
trurl
80 and 443 are the ports to the webUI of your server. Why would you put those on the internet??? Maybe somebody formatted your disks for you. Close all your ports before attempting to do anything else. Quote Link to comment
mbell420
For the important stuff yes but not all the data. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Maybe somebody formatted your disks for you. Most likely, a number of users have been similarly hacked lately. Quote Link to comment
