Parity disabled by unraid. how to turn back on?

Featured Replies

Unraid decided to disable my single parity drive.  I noticed before I rebooted unraid, that the parity drive was also showing in the unmounted disk area and because I'm not that great with unraid, figured be safe then sorry to mess with it.  Now the unmounted disk doesn't show anymore after reboot, but the parity is still disabled.  Looked through the forums for help on this, but only shows info on array disks and not much help on parity disk getting re-enabled.  Can I get some advice on what to do?

You should first try to find out why it got disable, or post the diagnostics, but if you just want to re-enable:

-stop array

-unassign parity

-start array

-stop array

-re-assign parity

-start array

Thank you very much for the help.  The disk is only a year old, but will make sure to get a report if further issues happen. Much appreciated!
