squirrellydw
If I want to do a parity check I just hit the "check" button on the main page right? Link to comment
Rajahal
If you have unMenu installed, you can also run a Parity Verify instead. This will check to make sure all the parity info is correct, but it won't correct any mistakes it finds. Link to comment

squirrellydw
Can I write to the array while I am doing this? I'm using the one in unmenu. Link to comment
Rajahal
Yes. It doesn't matter if you are running a parity check or parity verify, you can still write to the array. You can even write to the array during a rebuild from parity! Writing to the array during these activities will slow them down a bit, but generally that isn't a big deal. If you need to transfer some huge amount of data, then you should probably wait until the parity check/verify is complete, otherwise it will take forever. Link to comment
