Ryzen 3700 with x570 in Inter tech 4u 4424 build

Recommended Posts

Goal for the build was a server with much space, hot swap bays, and options for +12 hdd`s .

My previous server was a hackintosh running Softraid in raid 5. With the upgrade to Macos Big sur, this was not a very stable run anymore as Softraid stil has no stable version out. I also was a bit tired of always be afraid of rebooting and updating my system. I have now successfully moved all data from my hackintosh to my new Unraid build, and I really like it.

As for the wife... I got it free from work 🙉9_9.... But i guess she know my by know anyway so.

Hello,

Just a look at your build and it's very close to what I have in mind. I've ordered the same rack and was still in doubt regarding the inner parts. My main goal would be to use the server for:

- plex (mainly)

- filesever so I can store my pictures, etc while on the road.

- security camera's (will add that on lateron)

I think your build would allow me to do that. Any feedback you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Are you getting good results with it so far?
