Plex Media Server (PMS) is now out for windows. No news of a Plex windows client though. Hopefully, the linux version will not be far off too.

 

Getting closer to the goal of having only one 24/7 machine in the house. Given, how my 4 year old Mac mini is suffering under the strain of running Plex and PMS, especially as my collection is getting larger, it would be a relief to off load the strain on to a way under utilized superior machine.  :)

 

I don't know how they are doing the back end for all the meta data, but in the periodic cache clean outs it's dumping something like 300k files.  :o

 

Might try a Virtuabox VM install on the unRAID server this weekend with a WinXP image and run PMS off it.
