[SOLVED] Split Level Zero (0) question

Featured Replies

I'm planning on using one of my data drives as a 24/7 target for data writes that happen at unscheduled instances throughout the day to avoid spinning up any of the other disks when the writes happen.

Per my (admittedly sporadic) understanding of Split Levels, I'd just need to create a User Share with Split Level Zero, then manually create that directory on the drive I want to target, correct?

I can then use that created User Share as the default destination for these sporadic data writes?

oh, and yes, the drive would belong to its own spinup group.

It would work.  Only that drive will be used.

You can also just create the share and put the disk you want to use under the include disk(s), for example use disk3 for disk #3.
