Can not uninstall Hardware Raid on HP Proliant ML350p Gen8 Tower Server. Will unraid work?

Hi, I want to install unraid on my new (used) server HP ML350p Gen8 Tower Server. 

This server has the onboard raid controller HP Smart Array P420i 2GB Cache 8-Port 6Gbps  which controlles 2 x 1TB SSD 

 

My problem is that it is not recommended to have a hardware raid with unraid operating system.

 

But it is not trivial to just uninstall (or passthrough) the raidcontroller

Is it a good option just to have one array (on the 2x 1TB SSD disks) and no parity?
