Hi there ,

I've installed a cache drive , chose it as cache in HD setup , and after 300GB of download , I see the cache drive blinking green dot and its empty with only 100 reads and 30 writes.

How come so little ?

Perhaps you did not configure any of your user shares to use it?  (It must be configured on any specific user-share you wish to use it.  If none are configured, none will use it.)

Or, you are writing to the "disk" shares.  It is not used at all in that case either.

It is never used when reading from the array unless it holds the only copy of a file.

Same problem. Added a cache drive, changed the settings under "shares", using shares (\\tower\video\) to write my data, but it gets written directly to disk1 instead of cache.

Do I have to restart the array?

EDIT: A restart of the array solved it. Now it behaves like it should, fine!
