VM not working after upgrade to 6.9.1 / 6.9.2

Featured Replies

I had a win10 VM working fine prior to the upgrade to 6.9.1 (and now 6.9.2).  However now the VM will not boot showing this error:

2021-04-15T09:59:32.788681Z qemu-system-x86_64: vfio: Cannot reset device 0000:02:00.1, depends on group 16 which is not owned.

Am assuming this relates to my Nvidia graphics card I am passing though.

Here are the groups:

IOMMU group 14: [10de:2182] 02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation TU116 [GeForce GTX 1660 Ti] (rev a1)
IOMMU group 15: [10de:1aeb] 02:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation TU116 High Definition Audio Controller (rev a1)
IOMMU group 16: [10de:1aec] 02:00.2 USB controller: NVIDIA Corporation TU116 USB 3.1 Host Controller (rev a1)
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub

I have ACS Override set to "both".

I've also tried passing through the device in group 16, but that seems to cause the VM not to boot at all.

I have the same error with 6.9.1 / 6.9.2. The most recent version that works for me (and i tested them all) is 6.9.0-beta25.
I already own two licenses and was thinking buying a 3rd one - till i saw that coming out of beta's has no effect.
In my case the vm's i'm using are win10 with nvme and gpu passthrough.
I really wish this was solved.
