bclinton
Hi folks! Just checking to see if there is a way to see what is waking up a hard disk on my array? I tried the file activity plug in and it does not seem to be doing anything - never does show any activity. Thanks in advance. So...I looked in my log and I see this over and over 'read SMART /dev/sde' about every 20 minutes. I assume that is what is waking it up. What should I change to stop this without causing other issues? Edited April 17, 2021 by bclinton Quote Link to comment
bclinton
After more digging I think I found my problem. Thanks to the file activity plugin which works great (it took a few minutes to populate). I had an open seed in my BT client and was still activate that was nibbling away.......turned off the seeding and it is staying offline now One thing I did learn is if you are going to seed torrents than don't seed them from the array drive shares. I moved my radarr and sonarr DL folders to the cache drive now. Edited April 18, 2021 by bclinton Quote Link to comment
