February 24, 201115 yr I have the first Coolermaster CM Stacker case http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=4 and am getting ready to build my unraid server. I currently am using the Coolermaster 4-in-3 Drive Modules that I want to replace with something else that is hot swappable and easier to access the drives. I would prefer to use a 5-in-3 but could also use a 4-in-3 or 3-in-2 if that would be easier. I have my eye on the icy dock 5-in-3. I have read other posts saying that the 5-in-3's won't fit because of tabs in the CM case and I would have to remove them or pound them down. How hard is this going to be to do? Would I need to deal with these tabs regardless if I use the icy dock 4-in-3, 3-in-2 or 5-in-3. thanks, Murray
February 25, 201115 yr A decent sized C-Clamp will make quick work out of the tabs. A dremel will work, but there's no going back if you go that route and decide to re-purpose the case later.

February 25, 201115 yr I don't think this needs to be done on the stacker....just the 590. At least I never had to do it with mine.

February 25, 201115 yr I just read: "Supports up to 11 5.25" drives" - is it possible to use 4 5-in-3 cages in this case or not?
February 25, 201115 yr It is possible but you need to relocate the top slot that is used for the power and reset switches. However, best of luck in trying to find one of these cases. They are very old and stopped being distributed years ago.

With some dremeling it could be made a real "12", but as long as I only need 15 harddisks there is no need to be cruel to my case ;-)
