April 20, 20215 yr Solved. So I have a super weird problem. I upgraded from a 8086K to a 5900x. Upon launching everything Unraid hangs or gets stuck at "loading /bzimage...." . This is while launching Unraid OS. It's the first thing after the selection screen. Update: after starting 4 times and unplugging the ethernet it magically works. How I have a new issue: When launching Unraid OS it says "IPv6 not set". From my routers side I cannot find my server. I tried launching the GUI and firefox (running on the server) says Unable to connect to host. New motherboard MSI MPG B550 GAMING CARBON B550. I have a feeling that the NIC is not supported. Is there anyway to find out? April 20, 20215 yr Author This is probably a simple question. I am wondering if there are any guides on how to update Unraid without actually booting into Unraid. Unfortunately, I upgraded my server and it looks like my NIC is not supported by my current version of Unraid. Should I create a new install and move over the config files? (it so what files would I need to copy?)
April 21, 20215 yr Author Thanks to Jon from Lime Tech Support. "You can remove the flash device from your server, plug it into a PC or Mac, download the latest Unraid zip from our website, then copy the bz* files from the zip into the root of the flash drive. Overwrite all existing files, but again, ONLY copy the files that start with "bz"".
