February 27, 201115 yr Backdrop - running 4.7 with 2tb parity, 2tb wd ears, and a 500gb wd. I bought a new 2tb ears to replace the 500 gb drive. Pre-cleared the new drive, pulled out the old drive and threw in the new one. It started the rebuild and blew u with write errors. Long story short, the drive is bad and I need to put the 500gb back in. Problem is that when I assign it back to the array, it tells me it's to small and needs to be as big as the other drive. I have not copied any files over to the server since I started all this. I plan on getting another 2tb drive but would like to get back to a protected state until I'm ready to throw it in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
