[Solved] Moved server to new hardware. Dead Flash Drive

Featured Replies

Moved server drives to new hardware and It appears the flash drive died as i moved it to new server and it is no longer recognized.

(Plugging it into my windows computer it doesn't even recognize a drive is plugged in.)

I do have a backup of the flash drive. But it is 2+ years old.

I created new unraid flash drive with the old backup.

Booted up using the newly created flash drive from old backup, and of course got invalid key, I selected replace key, entered email address, and after an hour no email has arrived with new key. (not in spam folder either)

I do have my original unraid registration key email, but not sure if that would help.

Lastly, i do not know my data drive order/placement, but do know for sure which drive was parity. I followed an older post i found saying to go to Tools>New Config and  "preserve current assignments:"  ALL was selected. Please tell me this was correct.

Edit: Thank you ahead of time for any help received. I really need to get server back up and running asap.

Edit 2: Swapped ethernet cable to another port and email sent out immediately, allowing for new reg key to activate. New config > All was proper and the server is now up and running with all data, attempting to update everything now, and of course make a new flash drive backup ASAP!
