April 26, 20215 yr hi I'm wanting to setup home assistant in a VM on unraid, with 2 or 3 docker containers. My hardware setup will only have 2 ssd drives , no other drives, should I place drives in aray, and parity. or some drive cache pool. Or dose it matter at all.
April 26, 20215 yr Disks in the array can't be trimmed. You are required to have at least one data disk in the array but you don't have to actually use it so a flash drive in the array and then the 2 SSDs in a pool, raid1 if you want redundancy.
April 26, 20215 yr Author @ Constructor .Thanks sounds like a plan, never thought about using flash drive as array drive
April 26, 20215 yr Consider that it might be handy to use the array as a backup target, if nothing else.

This makes even more sense.
