February 28, 201115 yr Hey guys, So I have sickbeard and sabnzbd up and running. For some reason sickbeard will not automatically post process my downloads. It will however work with manual post processing. I only have one data disk and I have a user share called tv shows on it. The sabnzbd download folder is in a share called custom/sabnzbd/ etc. How exactly should I be setting this up?
February 28, 201115 yr Author Have you tried asking on the sickbeard or sabnzbd forums? no not yet. Just wanted to make sure my directories were correct first for NZB Method: SABnzbd do I even need anything in: Torrent Black Hole? Also in port processing for TV download Dir is there where I want my post processed shows to go or where sabnzbd puts them (the downloads folder)
February 28, 201115 yr ok, there's some configuration you need to do. In order for SABnzbd to post-process your files, you need to tell it to use the sickbeard post-processing script (sabToSickbeard.py) In order for this script to work, you need to configure autoProcessTV.cfg Once you have autoProcessTV.cfg configured (these files should be in a subfolder in your sickbeard directory), you can copy all three files: autoProcess.TV/.cfg and sabToSickbeard.py to your sabnzbd/scripts folder In SABnzbd, you will need to go into your Config -> Folders and under "TV", make sure your post-processing script is set to sabToSickbeard.py. Whenever you download TV-related files that you want to be post-processed by sickbeard, they have to have the category "tv" assigned to them in the sabnzbd queue, otherwise it will not be processed. Hope this gets you on your way, but you should really read the documentation as it's all explained. http://code.google.com/p/sickbeard/wiki/PostProcessing

Sickbeard just did all the post processing. Is it different for the unraid server? I am trying to copy the autoProcess.TV/.cfg to sabnzbd scrips folder but I can not find it
February 28, 201115 yr The alternative (I don't use this method, but I'm guessing this is how you did it on windows).. In Sickbeard: Config -> Episode Downloads -> Post-Process Make sure you have your TV download directory specified and that Scan and Process is checked. I'm not sure how often Sickbeard runs automated post-processing.
February 28, 201115 yr I'm not sure how often Sickbeard runs automated post-processing. It runs post-processing on the directory at the interval set for the main sweep (1 hour by default I believe).
February 28, 201115 yr This is pretty easy stuff. Set your scripts folder to the location of the autoProcessTV directory. When I open my Sickbeard install the autoProcessTV directory is right there staring me in the face. I would set the link in SAB in the Folders second box from the bottom to /mnt/cache/.custom/SickBeard/autoProcessTV (assuming you installed to the typical spot, modify as necessary). Rename autoProcessTV.cfg.sample to simply autoProcessTV.cfg and open it in a text editor. Change the host, port, username, and password values to the appropriate settings for your Sick Beard server. Then set sabToSickbeard.py script as your postprocessing script for TV inside SABnzbd+ in the categories second from the bottom. I have no idea what this has to do with unRAID, it's completely a Sickbeard user setup problem. Peter

Which is why I prefer sabToSickbeard.py.. the items get processed immediately after download and appear in my Plex media server almost as fast after that. No waiting involved

I just thought there might be a different way to set it up if you are using it with unraid. I actually didn't have to do any of these steps when setting it up for windows 7. The way you guys have explained this makes more sense than that wiki. maybe it is old? some of the steps it says to do doesn't look like you have to do.

Peter trying to follow your directions and every time i put my directory into the scripts section and hit save it just goes ro a blank white page and sits there with this url http://192.***.*.**:8082/config/directories/saveDirectories the directory i am using is /mnt/disk1/custom/SickBeard/autoProcessTV

Otherwise, as lionelhutz noted, this really isn't a UnRaid issue, and the folks over at the Sickbeard forum will be much better at assisting you resolve this than us!

Alright I will see what they say. Yeah haha I have restarted it as well as my server. No luck
March 1, 201115 yr Author I'm trying to just edit the .ini file Sometimes when editing in MC when I go to save it will say I am already editing the file and ask if I want to grab lock or ignore lock. Which is correct?
March 1, 201115 yr Author ok I got it working perfectly now. Thanks so much guys. Was wondering... anyone using SABnzbd what kind of download speeds are you getting?
March 1, 201115 yr Was wondering... anyone using SABnzbd what kind of download speeds are you getting? 2.3MBps Peter
March 1, 201115 yr Author ah ok I am getting about 1.5-1.8 MB/s so not bad. Is giganews any faster than astraweb? Peter, if you don't mind me asking, which speed of internet do you have?
March 1, 201115 yr I've got fiber so it's a 100Mbps connection to my provider. The best speed tests have shown about 60Mbps down and 55Mbps up. But, I think my provider limits continuous data transfer speeds. Peter

March 2, 201115 yr Author If it's in the US, I'm guessing it's Verizon FIOS service. that was my guess as well. Hopefully it will be in az sometime....
March 2, 201115 yr Guys, if you don't mind, I have a problem in relation to sickbeard. In the Config > General category, I don't get the subcategory 'Defaults'. This is where I can set resolution and season folders. I'm guessing I didn't set season folders because the post processing script puts the shows in the root directory, instead of a season folder. Can you guys post the part of the config.ini file where the setting is located? I have no idea what to change the value to, and as I mentioned, the category does not show (all I get is Misc, Metadata, Web Interface and Episode Naming). I believe it's "season_folders_default = 0". Is your value set to "1" if you use Season Folders? Thanks a lot.
