unRAID doesn't use Unicode, it use UTF-8 as charset of filesystems. The errors were caused by a misconfiguration, while filesystems were mounted using UTF-8, shell and all other processes were using ISO-8859-1 charset.  Now that v.5b5 fixed the locale settings, these kind of errors should stop to happen.
