Copying files from an internally attached SFS based drive

Featured Replies

Gentlemen,

I am going through the process of setting up my first unRaid Server. Thanks to the help and advice on this forum the build has been fine. Now I am at that stage where I am copying over files from the assortment of drives I have in other machines.

I have already copied over files from a drive I attached to my un Raid server, it was formated as an NTFS drive. However the second drive I cannot mount. The only difference is the file system is specified as SFS?

Any ideas how I can most easily and quickly copy the files to my unRaid array?

Thanks for your help

Never heard of "SFS".

Is it SFS as in Self-certifying File System or SFS as in Secure File System or SFS as in Simple File System or SFS as in Smart File System?

Or is the Partition type SFS, which means Dynamic Disk under Windows which likely has an NTFS filesystem.

So is SFS the file system type or the partition type?

Any ideas how I can most easily and quickly copy the files to my unRaid array?

Over the LAN, as unRAID has no idea what an SFS file system is...  (and neither do I)
