In order to get makemkvcon to work on unraid, I need to compile it.  The crypto headers (provided by libssl-dev in Ubuntu) are needed in order to compile the open source portion of the application.  As this particular application has frequent versions and will expire, it is important to be able to recompile regularly.

 

No, copying the ssl library files will not do as it needs to build library files based on the headers.  No, compiling once will not work because the versions expire in X days and I would be asking for a recompile.
