Cache drive not found after reboot, before then it was suddenly in read-only mode

Hi there,

What happened:

  1. My docker containers nearly all went offline and upon investigating I found the error "Drive mounted read-only or completely full. Begin Investigation Here: UNRAID MAIN" in the plugin "Fix common problems"
  2. Created a diagnostics package which is attached.
  3. Looked at cache drive, was normal healthy, had 50% space free etc
  4. Figured I might need to reboot into "maintenance mode" and do a check filesystem on the cache drive, but during the stopping process disk 18 and my cache drive we're failing to unmount and it kept retrying.
  5. Eventually, I just clicked reboot and now I can't find my cache drive and it has been unassigned.

A side note, a few hours before I believe my "Unassigned device ssd", which I use for incoming temp downloaded files to unpack, was full and I cleared it and I don't believe I did anything else.

I'm now a bit scared to do anything as in hindsight I should have backed-up my cache drive before the reboot.

Thanks in advance!

Cache device dropped offline earlier:

Apr 27 15:52:31 Xionas kernel: nvme nvme0: Device not ready; aborting reset, CSTS=0x1
Apr 27 15:52:31 Xionas kernel: nvme nvme0: Removing after probe failure status: -19
Apr 27 15:53:02 Xionas kernel: nvme nvme0: Device not ready; aborting reset, CSTS=0x1

Unless it died, power cycling the server (not just rebooting) should bring it back.

  • Thanks 1
