March 1, 201115 yr Hi, can anyone suggest a way to prevent files getting deleted or overwritten? Perhaps some chmod setting that is compatible with SMB? I've fooled around a bit with chmod on this system but it seems to prevent anything from showing up in a directory listing in SMB. What I want to accomplish is to make it difficult to delete or overwrite any files created while allowing new files to be created. A second-best solution might be to lock down drives that are nearly full in read-only mode and just leave write access on the single drive that is in the process of being filled. Any suggestions on how to accomplish either of these goals is much appreciated! Thanks, Randy
