it's a built in adapter. you think that might still work?

Worth a shot. I flashed my onboard LSI 2208 to a 2008 on my supermicro board. There were a few hoops to jump through but it did it.

Look up guides on flashing IT firmware to get the process down, you will basically be following that process as you want the IT firmware anyways.

WINDOWS INSTRUCTIONS FOR UPDATING TO NEW VERSION (1.) Backup your config.yaml file in %systemdrive%\Users%username%.hddcoin\mainnet\config (2.) Close the HDDCoin client and wait for it to fully close. Otherwise click close ("X") on the HDDcoin Clinet window. (3.) Navigate back to C:\Users%username%\ and delete the ".hddcoin" folder (VERY IMPORTANT - The update will fail if you miss this step, and you will lose sync (4.) Download and install a fresh copy of HDDcoin from https://github.com/HDDcoin-Network/hddcoin-blockchain/releases (If HDDcoin automatically launches after the install, wait for the login screen, then exit the app) (5.) Restore your previously backed up config.yaml file back to %systemdrive%\Users%username%.hddcoin\mainnet\config (6.) Download the latest blockchain database file from http://hddcoin.org/downloads/blockchain_v1_mainnet.sqlite (7.) Restore the blockchain database to %systemdrive%\Users%username%.hddcoin\mainnet\db (8.) Start HDDcoin and verify that you are able to sync, and that you are getting challenges.

Another to add to the list, what is the 17th's fork you are running? I have the 16 from the last post.

Just updated them and added in 4x 4tb drives to my farmer. Sure enough, was able to plot 4TB/day per server.

Seeing as chia is a bust and these poop coins do not instill confidence, I don't think it is worth tossing my brand new drives at them. So most likely ride like this for awhile. 48TB total.

Also testing mining ergo with my old Vega 56's in the same farmer. Trying to decide if I should mine with them or sell them for the ~$600 they are worth right now. Looks like they are making $2.50-3 a day now.

Odd, I just updated today without doing all that and it seems to be working, finding proofs and synced up.

Maybe I should do all that anyways?

what's your height at? 58812 was what i just saw.

the trick is, if you're not patched, you won't ACTUALLY earn anything, even if you win.

now shows up as split, since it's two different machines. :D

So you are splitting farming between the machines but sharing the plots via SMB?

Just because you don't have enough memory / CPU on a single machine? I thought you were going to be running 2 instances of them to increase the chances.

Added those new ones, been noticing that the GUI on several of the blockchains seems to lock up after farming for awhile. I think they are still farming but the GUI is just blank when I look at it.

Wheat, Kale, greendoge and socks all appear to not be syncing. Guessing there are some port conflicts in there among other things.

you can see with 10 forks running, she's getting to be a bit of a hog. I noticed with 17 running the CPU was working stupid hard.  Now, each is only running around 15-20% average.

plan is to eventually get enough memory to have each have 28GB or 32GB, and see what happens to memory.

Also my power consumption is actually LESS with 2 machines running, than 1.  seems the cooling fans are real power hogs.

right now i'm in a bit of a limbo, as the vendor is sending me a replacement mainboard, since this latest one has a dead LSI 2008 chip; can't flash what the software can't see! :D

that's kind of why I did what I did.

300W is about 15% above my average loading at the house.  I'm just going to leave it all alone at this point.

Now what I'd REALLY like to see, is XCD go to $1/coin :D
