[SOLVED] Compacting vdisk file for VM

Featured Replies

I have been searching for an answer to this all morning and couldn't find anything.

I have 2 vm's running on the cache pool.  I have noticed that the vdisk files are gradually getting larger each day.  I have them set at 300gb but they are now both over that.  Additionally, they are windows 10 vm's and only show 70ish GB used on each.  Is there a way to compact the vdisk file and claim any unused space?  I have researched the SSD trim command but I have a 9200-8e HBA controller with P20 so I can't use that feature.  Any help is appreciated.

Then most likely you didn't follow the instructions correctly, it still works.
