/var/log full and drives read/write constantly

Featured Replies

I have been getting /var/log full errors for a bit now and the syslog has:

BTRFS error (device loop2): bad tree block start

repeated over and over.

I followed this post and have reset my Docker img as well. Any help would be appreciated.

Syslog rotated so can't see the beginning of the problem, reboot, run the server for a few minutes and post new diags.

Will do. At work now, so unable to reboot until home.

Here is a new diagnostics.

Frustrating as I had several issues of needing to reboot due to hangs. One of the hangs has happened in the past as well, but have not received any ideas on how to correct.

1. Updated OS to 6.9.2 > attempted reboot > OS start > hang

2. hard shut down, unplug > attempted reboot > OS start > hang

3. hard shut down, unplug > mem test > no errors found > esc to reboot > OS start > hang

4. hard shut down, unplug > attempted reboot > OS start in safe mode, GUI, no plugins > hang

5. hard shut down, unplug > OS start > currently up and working

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm very curious as to what I may have done or not done to create these errors/hangs.

Not booting reliably suggests a hardware issue, you can also try booting in safe more or using a different flash drive, as for the original issue no errors so far, post new diags if/when it starts again.
