Kenniey Posted May 3, 2021 Posted May 3, 2021 Hi My server reboots random when parity check is not active. Command line gives no error at that moment, screen just goes black and server reboots. When parity is paused, server stays mostly on. When I cancel it, so I can stop the array to add hdd, it reboots. Specs: Asrock X570 Pro 4 AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 2x16GB G-skill 3200mhz Nvidia GTX 1050ti Cooler Master MWE850v2 11 HDD’s atm (9+1 in array, 1 I want to add) 7 HDD’s are connected to the motherboard 4 are connected with SAS PCI-E card Extra info: I was getting machine errors when the server stayed on, but those did not trigger a reboot (parity-check was paused at that moment). Those were corrected errors. I already updated the bios, tried with only 1 ram stick, both did not help. Quote

Kenniey Posted May 3, 2021 Author Posted May 3, 2021 Omg, did not know that this was also an issue with the newer Ryzen CPU’s. Atm it stays on, clearing my 16TB disk now. Did get the hardware error corrected error again, but server did not reboot Quote
Kenniey Posted May 4, 2021 Author Posted May 4, 2021 This morning around 3:30 it rebooted, so clearing is started again. Let’s hope it can finish before a new reboot this time Quote
