Unraid won't boot setup GA-Z68XP-UD3P

Featured Replies

I am using my old mobo GA-Z68XP-UD3P with a samsung 32gb usb as recommended by Spaceinvader one and I used the unraid usb creator on two new 32gb samsung usb drives. I push F12 to get to the boot option and when I boot I get no signal from my monitor. I have tried formatting the usb flash drive to exfat and then using the tool but no luck. I am running the latest bios on my mobo, I linked screen shots of my mobo below. I followed all the instruction for the mobo settings and they should be correct. I don't know why it won't boot into the unraid setup screen. Any help would be much appreciated.

You say Unraid won't boot but it isn't clear this has anything to do with Unraid.

Have you tried booting anything else from a flash drive on that hardware?

Not from a flash drive but it boots OSX and windows fine from my hard drives. should I try booting a fresh windows 10 install from the same flash drive?

If you can get it to boot from flash then maybe your problem will be solved. Might be better to try booting some Linux from flash.

Another test would be to see if you can boot another computer from the Unraid flash you prepared.

I think you have used exfat did you try fat?

Format the device using the FAT (or FAT32) file system. It must not be ex-FAT.
