Server becomes unresponsive randomly

Featured Replies

Hello, long time first time,

I'm having a seemingly random issue with my server where it becomes frozen and unresponsive (Including VM).  When this happens I am unable to log into the server and must force shutdown holding the power button.

I know this is a very general problem, any suggestions on where to begin looking to possibly pinpoint the issue.  I did download the diagnostics after the most recent event.

I am running unraid 6.9.2

Thanks!

Hello, the first place to start would be there :

Your memory should be set lower (4 DIMM, Dual rank = 2667 MT/s) and you should check your C-State.

Great, thanks for the help!  Let me make that change to the c-state and the RAM.

I will update if this fixed the problem.

UPDATE:

Problem seems to be fixed.  I first lowered the RAM to 2667 MT/s, server still crashed after about a day.

I then disabled c-states in the go file and that seemed to do it (running Ryzen 3900X).  Been up for over 4 days without an issue, this is the longest it has gone without a crash.

Thank you for the help!
