BurningSky Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 (edited) I did a BIOS upgrade on my motherboard and since then I can't get unraid to boot. I made sure it is trying to boot from the USB in UEFI mode but I still get Cannot open root device. I tried a method suggested in another post of adding root=sda in the syslinux.cfg file but when I do that I get the same error. I have reimaged the USB a few times and then restoring the config from various backups but no progress. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated! BurningSky Posted May 4, 2021 Author Posted May 4, 2021 (edited) I'll try! I don't have the exact version I was on so I'll try an older one Edited May 4, 2021 by BurningSky Quote
BurningSky Posted May 4, 2021 Author Posted May 4, 2021 So looks like it might have been my RAM XMP settings, looks like it boots fine on 2900mhz... Quote
JorgeB Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Respect max officially support RAM speeds with Ryzen or you'll likely run into trouble. Quote
BurningSky Posted May 5, 2021 Author Posted May 5, 2021 Interesting, I didn't realise that was the max supported! Thanks Quote
