VMWare tools for unRAID

Hi Zeron,

Noticed you have a 6.0 beta 4 PLG/TGZ on your site. I am guessing this is no good for b12 because of the kernel change, correct?

Happy New Year!

Looking forward to a new release to go with the New Year! *Hint Hint*

Just got my esxi 5.5up2 running with unRaid using a vmdk that was posted on these forums, and having the vmtools would certainly make things just that little bit sweeter.

Really appreciate the work so far Zeron - how can we contribute or encourage an update or is it best to wait until the final release for 6

Cheers

Kosti

That is correct.  There is currently no release from VMWare that can compile for Kernel 3.17 and I do not have the time to patch all the issues myself.

Hi all

I have just realised that I never added VMTools to my unraid install.

I am still back on 5.0-beta12a.  Which package do I use?

Thanks

upgrade to 5.0.6 and use the latest package.  i don't have one for beta-12a anymore.

Working nicely in my unraid 5.06. Hopefully this resolves the drives not spinning down and accurate temps with my m1015 (it-mode) controller in pass-through.....

Thanks!
