xrqp Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Need I be concerned, or do anything, because of 115 errors? Quote
itimpi Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 No - you really want 0 errors. Was it a parity sync or a data rebuild that was running? Quote
xrqp Posted May 6, 2021 Author Posted May 6, 2021 (edited) it was a rebuild after replacing disk 1 of 6. I was also having trouble with disk 3, and I am replacing that next. Edited May 6, 2021 by xrqp Quote
itimpi Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Every error indicates a possibly corrupt sector on the rebuilt disk so not a good sign. Whether those sectors are within files, metadata or free space is impossible to tell. Do you have backups os anything important or hard to replace? Quote
xrqp Posted May 6, 2021 Author Posted May 6, 2021 (edited) For Disk 1 and 3, Yes, I have backups. Most of it is not too important. For the rest of the 6 disks, the data is important, and is backed up. I am guessing 115 errors could all be in one sector (if I am lucky), or in up to 115 sectors. It didn't tell me which drive, or is it saying it is the parity drive? If I can figure out which drive it is, Should I replace it, or just keep an eye on it and see if errors increase? John_M Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 You really need to post your diagnostics. Tools -> Diagnostics. Post the resulting zip file. Quote
xrqp Posted May 7, 2021 Author Posted May 7, 2021 Here are diagnostic in reverse chronological. Here is just now May 6, while my Disk 3 replacement is doing parity rebuild (45% done). tower-diagnostics-20210506-1912.zip Here is my diagnostics May 4, before I replaced 3, but I think before i replaced Disk 1 (not sure). tower-diagnostics-20210504-2333.zip Here is my diagnostics from May 3, before I replaced any disks. tower-diagnostics-20210503-0046.zip Quote
