Similar to the other deal posted last year, except this has a 250GB drive, rather than a 160GB drive. I think the PSU may be higher rated as well.

£221.81 with £100 cashback (expires 31st March).

I could not resist, I had to buy one.

My plan is to populate the 4 drive slots with data drives, use a 5.25" hotswap caddy for the parity drive and run an eSATA to SATA cable back inside the case and see if I can stuff a 2.5" drive in there somewhere for use as a cache drive for SABnzbd -- total drives: 6.

Power draw with 4 drives spinning is reported at 30W, I think. It'll be interesting to see what it runs at with the drives spun down.

Are the drive bays tool-less? I.e., Do they require drive screws?

Wish there were comparable deals here in the US. Best I could obtain was USD$333 delivered (£206.67). £121.81 (USD$196.23) would be a damned sweet price...

How does the cashback work in this case?

was looking on Amazon and they have him there for 319.99 US$

eligable for free shipping

Dang, they didn't have any listed at all when I checked before my PC Nation purchase (Amazon's always my first go-to). Oh well, at least the diff was only fourteen bucks.

Anyone have problems receiving the rebate when ordering from the link in the first post? The T&Cs say it must be ordered from a HP authorised reseller and they don't seem to be one. The link is:

Crescent ARE an authorised reseller, otherwise no-one would be linking to them. Once you have the confirmation email from the promotion company HP are using, they take EXACTLY 28 days to send the cheque. Everyone who received the email has received their cheque 28 days later. It's a deliberate thing -- I guess they want the money in the bank gaining interest. My cheque is due in a few days.

Excellent, thanks! I looked at their "about us" page and it didn't mention them being an authorised reseller. I've just placed my order.

Be sure to print off or save the invoice (they email you a link) as soon as possible, as the way their invoicing app works is that it shows the current date, not the date you purchased!

FYI, I received my cheque this morning, it was posted 22 days after the acknowledgement -- 6 days before they were required to.  ;D

Thanks, good to know! I haven't received my order confirmation yet. I expected an automated system but perhaps they have to do it manually when they're back in the office tomorrow.

Be careful -- check the HP Ts&Cs to make sure it didn't have to be shipped by April 30th, didn't the offer end then?

I ordered on the 29th and the T&Cs state it must be invoiced by 30th April. I'll ask them to make sure the invoice is dated the day I ordered. Hope that won't be a problem.
