[PARITY CHECK] slower than usual

Featured Replies

Hi guys!

After a few year of happy usage of Unraid wich is improving continously I'm now here to ask your help.

I'm observing lately a decrease in Parity check speed. anyone else had this? is it related to some update to UnRaid?

If not, are there any action I can try to check if I've problems? I'm doing again it with all Dockers & VM switched off but also if not completed It's still around "only" 122MB/s.

Any suggestion?

thanks in advance

Was there a lot I/O on the drives during the parity check ?

It is generally the reason for a slower than usual check.

This was what I thought and for this I disabled almost everything :(

I'll check if the only PC connected to the same net is causing the issue

Please post diags to see the hardware used, there are some known issues.

Not sure if you CPU is affected, worth checking:

tried some suggestion of that thread but with no luck :( still running slow(er) 115 MB/s :'(

I read somewhere someone lost a disk and had symphtoms like slow parity check before... guess I'm ordering a new spare just in case... :(

Could be a disk, but it's not that uncommon for newer kernels to be slightly slower, and since your CPU is not very powerful and the speed loss is not much my money is more on that.
