NC364T NIC not recognised

Featured Replies

I have installed a quad port NIC (NC364T) into my working unraid server but the card is not recognised...ie no entries or errors in any of the logs I have seen.  I have changed pci ports but still nothing seen within unraid.  Does anyone have any ideas to what might be the problem.  Diagnostic zip attached.  Cheers

 Cannot see the device in lspci. Which slot are you using

Quote

2 x PCI Express 3.0/2.0 x16 slots (single at x16 or dual at x8/x8 mode)
1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot* (max. at x4 mode, compatible with PCIe
x1 and x4 devices)
4 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots**
* The PCIe x16_3 slot shares bandwidth with USB3_E12 and PCIe x1_4. The
PCIe x16_3 is default at x1 mode.
** The PCIe x1_2 slot shares bandwidth with PCIe x1_3. The PCIe x1_2 is
default disabled.

Nothing is being detect by Linux, either NIC is dead or doesn't like your board, do you have another PC you can try it in?

@SimonF i am using port pciex16_1

@JorgeB i thought as much, but dont have another spare system.  i was planning to disconnect my unraid disks and create a windows boot disk to see if this sheds any light on it.

It won't make any difference, at least it shouldn't, it's not an OS issue.
