Adding a Graphic card causes it to crash

So my question is I am on 6.8.3 and watched Spaceinvaderone youtube about creating a windows VM. It works fine but if I try to add my graphics card the VM crashes. I thought about it and I am using the old and now depracated Unraid Nvidia plug-in for plex transcoding when I need it. ( I plan to move to 6.9 one day just to scared it will mess everything I have worked to build). Is using the Nvidia plug-in for plex not allowing me to add my graphics card to the windows VM? Do I need to buy a second graphics card for my VM"s if I want to use one?
