Can't format and mount ssd

I'm using the latest version of unraid 6.9.2. I seperated my ssd in my cache pool and placed one in unassigned devices.  There is no data on the ssd. I precleaared the drive , and it was sucessful.  I'm attempting to format the drive but unraid will not let me. Since i can't format the drive, i can't mount it.  Any sugestions on how tp fix this problem? Thanks.

No need to preclear SSDs.  It's just unnecessary wear and tear for an SSD.  If you are trying to mount the drive as an unassigned device, you must have the Unassigned Devices Plus plugin installed to enable destructive mode which allows you to format the SSD.  This is documented in the Unassigned Devices support thread.

I have the unassigned devices plugged in installed, and I'm still having this issue.

You need the Unassigned Devices PLUS plugin. Not just Unassigned Devices.

Did you try typing Yes instead of yes?

Yes

After you attempt to format the drive, go to tools, diagnostics, download the zip file and post it to the Unassigned Devices support thread with a brief explanation of what you did and what happened, as well as a pointer back to this thread.
