win10 VM with passthrough 5700xt suddenly no boot

Featured Replies

Hi,

i was using my Windows 10 VM a coule of months with no problems including a passthrough 5700 XT. A TV is directrly connected to the Card using HDMI. A seperate USB Card is also being passed through.

After a crash of the VM and a server reboot, it will not star up at all.

My additional problem is, because of a failing USB unraid stick in between, i changed some Bios settings for troubleshooting before finding out the USB was the problem. So now i dont know where to start.

Corrently in BIOS i have iGPU / dGPU on auto. Nothing is attached to the MB's HDMI. VT-D and above 4G decoding is enabled.

The 5700 XT and its sound counterpart are selected for passthrough in IOMMU Settings.

What am I possibly doing wrong?

Thanks alot in advance!

EDIT:
Video Output on Graphic Card showes "Tiano Core" and i can Remote desktop into it.. 5700Xt showes Error in Hardware manager..

The log shows that the dgpu is used by the os so it fails to pass it through, I would change that bios setting, to have igpu as primary.

Thanks, that alone didnt help but blugging an HDMI fake donge into graphic card at least lets it show up in Windows via parsec again. I need further testing if it stays on monitor
