I am completely new to unRAID so I'm hoping someone can provide some insight. I recently received a free 16 bay fiber channel array loaded with 400GB SATA drives. My goal is to implement this system in some way that allows me to grow to larger disks over time. My research lead me to unRAID as it seems to provide this capability however I have been unable to find any examples of it being used with an array attached via Fiber Channel. Is fiber channel supported? If not out of the box, does it come down to using a fiber channel card that works in Linux (unRAID uses Slackware?)? I don't have the front end system/fiber channel card yet so I am unable to do any real world testing yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    No, it is not. There is almost no SAS support and I never even heard someone talking about FC with unRAID :-)
