Hi! i couldnt find anything on the forum about the HPE H241.

Im trying to make a new pc/server build to use unraid. i have a HPE H241 card, and was curious if this is compatible?

 

Tools -> System devices -> it shows 01:00.0 Serial Attached SCSI controller: Hewlett-Packard Company Smart Array Gen9 Controllers (rev 01)

 

So i dont order the cables and it wont work.

I already tried to booting the HPE Smart Storage Administrator offline on a usb stick, but it wont find the controller.

For future reference the HPE H241 card with only external connections.

I received the external cable to 4x sas, but it doensnt recognize any disks, nothing to do with unraid, same in linux or windows.

 

I now ordered 2x HP LSI 9212-4i (1 spare) which has the "normal" sata connectors. this should work
