How does RAM transcoding improve performance? Is it only reduced disk IO or does it have some other effect? I recently updated to a 4k display. I dont seem to be able to stream 4k content from my server (Threadripper 2950x w/126GB memory). Would RAM transcoding improve 4k streaming performance?
