Hello

 

I want to build a ssd pool for xcp-ng virtual host but i see unraid basic only supports 6 storage drives and i already have 5 hard drives in the array. If i add my nvme drive to a new pool first will it count towards my total storage devices. and with setting up a aditional pool can is start off with 1 drive i eventually want to create just a mirror so can i just use 1 drive then later expand to a mirror.

All attached storage devices count.

Yes. Make sure you format it btrfs as that will make it easier to add a second device to the pool later.
