[SOLVED] Array stopped - Invalid expansion

Featured Replies

After a failed upgrade from 6.8.3 to 6.9.2  I restored my USB flash drive.   When I boot UNRAID OS I get an error due to Invalid Expansion.

Here is a screenshot of how the disks were arranged prior to the upgrade:

And here is a screenshot of how they are coming up currently:

My DISK_ASSIGNMENTS.txt file  looks like this currently.

Can I just manually edit this file with the correct assignments?    If not, is there another way to get the disk organized back to the way they were and bring the array back online?

Note:  The diagnostics file attached is from before the restore of the flash drive just after the upgrade attempt.

Best Regards.

This file is created by the appdata backup plugin, and is simply a note for yourself.  The OS doesn't look at it at all, and the file that it does look at isn't human readable.

Thanks Squid..  Good to know this.    What do I do about this problem  at hand though?  I cant seem to get the disks recognized as my original set of disks.

You're using an outdated backup, if you know the current assignments you can do a new config, assign all the disks are they were and check "parity is already valid" before starting the array.

Thank You.!  This worked perfectly.
