New install.  Every time I try to reboot or shut down the box pops up for confirmation, then it gets about 25% of the size when I click on confirm.  But the server never shuts down so I have to hard-power off every time.  Drives are pre-clearing and parity is building but I've tried pausing/cancelling this as well with no success.

 

 

 

 

I not real sure but I do believe that you will have to wait until the drives are precleared  and parity has finished building before you can shut the server down normally.  I think if you look carefully, you will see that everything basically restarts whenever you do start up your server again after the forced shutdown.  

Well so far this is far more frustrating than I expected.  Have had zero luck getting a windows VM up and running with a passed-through GPU, and multiple reboots to try and change settings based on guides I've seen have required me to hard reset the server each time.
