May 29, 20215 yr I recently had trouble upgrading from 6.8 to 6.9 with an error that said: "network todo 'eth%d' but state 0" during bootup. After more time than I'd like to admit, I narrowed the issue down to my 10gb NIC not showing up in the Unraid OS. Once I connected my onboard NIC to my switch, I was able to get to the webui and resume business as usual. Minus the 10gb. Seems like it works fine for VM's when using System Devices to bind to vfio. I'm not sure I want to use it that way. Is there a way to reattach the 10gb NIC to the main OS?
May 29, 20215 yr It is not supported anymore, it was indicated in the release notes : https://wiki.unraid.net/Manual/Release_Notes/Unraid_OS_6.9.0#Linux_Kernel
May 29, 20215 yr Author I appreciate that. Apologies that my searching skills didn't clue me in sooner. Think a bug report would do me any good? Quote If you require one of these drivers, please create a Bug Report and we'll spend some time looking for alternatives. Better yet, pester the manufacturer of the controller and get them to update their drivers.
May 29, 20215 yr You can check if there is already one. I think that the drivers are removed when they prevent the compilation of the kernel. And if memory serves, I think that TEHUTI NETWORKS does not exist anymore ? So, not sure how to have a more recent driver. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.
