EDIT

I found this

http://pkgs.org/download/slackware-13.1/slackware-i486/ppp-2.4.5-i486-1.txz.html

http://pkgs.org/download/slackware-13.1/gnome-slackbuild-2.30-gsb-i486/pptp-1.7.2-i486-2gsb.txz.html

And this is result after this command

pptpsetup --create anonine --server vpn.anonine.net --username <username> --password <password> --encrypt

Hmm Ok I will look into that, is it possible with D-Link DIR-655 ?

No, DD-WRT isn't supported on the DIR-655

It's MUCH safer to set up a VPN to your router and THEN go to your unRAID box.  unRAID is not hardened for exposure to the net, and opening it up like that would beg for an hackfest in no time.

Forgive my ignorance, but isn't the point of VPN to communicate with your destination via secure tunnel?  I understand discouraging people from setting up, for example, FTP service on your Tower and creating a port forwarding rule to it.  But I guess I don't understand what type of security hole, say, LogMeIn Hamachi would leave for intruders.

I agree with you.  It would be great to get an open-vpn or some sort of secure vpn package that we could implement on unraid.  LogMeIn Hamachi causes me some grief on the client side.  I would like to do it all through unraid and not a 3rd party provider.

What I recommend is using tomato on router i use asus n16 and setup vpn that way...The Tomato firmware is very easy to work with and has a nice gui

I'm using Anonine on my Windows PC, so it must be OK to running this on unraid ? but I not so skilled to make a package of this SW, is there any downside to use it on the server, for me is unraid just one computer on my LAN and it should be the same thing to use VPN on unraid.

I going to exchange my PC with a laptop and the do all DL from usenet from the unraid.
