So i did a parity  swap to rebuild a disabled drive whilst also upgrading the parity drive to a larger one, its all gone fine up to the data rebuild, parity is copied to new drive but it keeps hhanging the system during data rebuild to the drive thast is now in the disabled drives place (the former parity drive) i cant shut down the system and it wont let me grab diags so i have to hard reset then imidiately stop the array.

Disk looks fine, try rebuilding again and if it hangs see if you can get the syslog, if you can't get it using the GUI copy it to flash drive then attach here:

cp /var/log/syslog /boot/syslog.txt

 

I stopped the array and physically put the drives back into thier original positions (assignments changed as part of the parity swap) started it up and it went through to the end this time. All seems well thus far.
