How can I install a command line rar, or rar compatible app to archive and unarchive stuff from a ssh session?

How would I install a archiver that can work on most common formats, especially rar file... so I can just ssh into the server and run the commands via command line?

    Install the NerdPack plugin. From there you can find the unpacking tools you need and install them to Unraid.
