VM's all freezing after a few minutes

Featured Replies

I recently put together an unraid server in a lenovo RD450X 2u server, and I can't for the life of my make VM's work properly. I've tried Ubuntu, Arch, Mubuntu, and linux Mint and they all do more or less the same thing.

I provision the VM, give it about 8 cores and 8gigs of RAM, (I have 32 and 32GB total ) then assign a disk with the install ISO, setup drive space, and leave the rest deftault. The VM will boot, show a terminal UI and let me select an option and linux mint actually let me get into the OS and about 2 minutes into the install process before it just crapped out all together. Then the VM's all freeze completely and go unresponsive, have to force them to shutdown. Rinse and repeat. All in all, the VM's all run for a few minutes before just plain crapping out.
